This Privacy Policy explains how Funattic Studio Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the Waveloop Lyrics mobile application (the “App”). We have designed Waveloop Lyrics to be private by default: it does its work entirely on your device.

Summary (the short version): Waveloop Lyrics does not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data. It works without an account. The audio you import or record, and the videos you export, stay on your device unless you choose to share them. We have no servers that receive your content.

1. Who we are

2. The data we collect

None. Waveloop Lyrics does not collect personal data. Specifically, we do not:

require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or phone number;
upload, transmit, or store your audio files or exported videos on any server;
include third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs that collect data about you;
track your activity across other apps or websites;
access your location.

Because no personal data is collected, there is no personal data for us to store, share, sell, or lose.

3. How your content is handled

All processing happens locally on your device:

Audio you import and lyrics you paste are read only to time the lyrics to the music (using a speech-recognition model that runs on your device) and to render them into a video. They are not sent anywhere by us.
The speech model download. The first time you align a song, the App downloads a speech-recognition model file (roughly 470MB) over the internet. This is an ordinary file download: it sends no personal data, no audio, and no lyrics — it only fetches the model, which is then stored on your device and reused offline for all future alignments.
Videos you export are saved to your device (for example, to your photo library or the App’s storage). They are not sent anywhere by us.
Sharing is initiated by you. If you tap Share or save to your photo library, your device’s operating system and the destination app or service handle the file from that point. Their handling is governed by their privacy policies, not ours.

4. Device permissions

The App may ask your operating system for permission to use certain features. These permissions enable functionality on your device; granting them does not send data to us:

Photo Library / Media (save) — only if you choose to save an exported video to your library. We request add-only (“save”) access; the App does not read or browse the photos and videos already in your library.
Files / Documents — only if you choose to import an audio file, through your device’s system file picker.
Notifications (Android) — only to show alignment progress and to tell you when timing is ready if you switch apps or lock the screen while the App works.

The App does not request microphone access — it does not record audio.

You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. Revoking a permission may disable the related feature.

5. Children’s privacy

The App does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. It is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Purchases

The App offers an optional one-time Pro purchase (which removes the watermark from exports, and unlocks 4K export and custom colors). This and any future paid features are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your payment card details, and whether you have purchased is determined on your device through the store — we do not maintain our own account of it. Your purchase is handled under the store’s own terms and privacy policy. We may receive anonymized, aggregated sales information from the stores that does not identify you.

7. Third-party platforms

Waveloop Lyrics relies on the platform you installed it from (Apple App Store or Google Play) for distribution, updates, and purchases. Those platforms have their own privacy practices that we do not control:

8. International users

Because all processing occurs on your device and we do not collect or transfer personal data, your content is not transferred internationally by us.

9. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights over personal data that a company holds about you. Because we do not collect or hold any personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete, or port. 10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, note the change in the App or its store listing. Material changes will be made clear before they take effect.
